Enter to Win an Envirosax Reusable Bag!
Welcome to the first-ever Fashion Loves People giveaway! The sweet and generous people at Envirosax have made it possible for me to make THREE of you WINNERS of this beautiful reusable bag!
Before I tell you how to win it, first, a bit about the bag. As you may know, I’ve been a fan and user of Baggu reusable bags over the past few years. Baggu and Envirosax are both made of lightweight nylon, which folds up satisfyingly small for taking to the grocery store.
Where Envirosax steps up the game is with its built-in closure for keeping the bag folded up, which you can see hanging from the bottom of the bag in the picture above. The bag folds up to about a 4″ x 2.5″ x 1″ shape, the smallest I’ve seen, which genuinely fits in the smallest of places — like my own impossibly small purse-slash-clutch, which is about 11″ long. (I gave up on the oversized purse thing a year ago and haven’t looked back!)
When it comes to my reusable bags, I like a graphic look (as opposed to a plain color), but I’ve never been crazy about the graphic options out there. Most are piddly little patterns that don’t say much. But this one, from the Graphic Candy series, is fantastic — I love its boldness. And did I mention how tiny it folds up? Seriously.
How to WIN:
Just leave a comment! Anytime through Tuesday, April 21, at midnight. I’ll announce the three random winners on Wednesday, who I’ll then contact by email for mailing addresses.
Of course, be sure to include your email address in the comment form. It won’t be viewable by anyone but me.
What you WIN:
One Envirosax reusable bag, which, if you’re “average” in this area, will save you from sending 300 to 700 plastic sacks to the landfill per year. (And I swear, this bag folds up so nicely that it will be easier to remember to take to the store than any others!)
Thanks for playing!

i almost bought one similar in lawrence a couple of weeks ago–i love that they fold up! i only have the big whole foods ones, which are great, but not very portable and practical for purse usage. i chose not to buy because i couldn’t figure out how to fold it up exactly right again. it was very complicated for some reason, and then it wouldn’t fit into my purse.

You are doing an amazing job with this blog! Keep up the good work!

(Especially you, Christiane… but I’m gonna have to keep it random. xoxo!)

Yay for eco-bags! I dig the folding deal. That is super cool. Make it in a manly dark green and I’m sold!
April 17th, 2009 at 4:07 pm
Can’t hurt to try. I always have things to carry!

I love the fact that this bag folds up so nicely! I am constantly forgetting my big whole foods bags at home.. once I bring them in the house, they sit by the door so I can ‘remember’ to take them to my car. I often forget and find myself at the store w/o my nice reusable, eco-friendly bags. This would be perfect for me because I could simply fold it up and put it in my handbag immediately, so I’d always have it — and it’d always be with me for impromptu shopping trips as well.
Thanks for the contest!

I’d love to win! I have a large, quirky assortment of grocery tote bags and I need about two more so I don’t ever have to resort to stuffing those “last few items” into a plastic bag.
(Do you remember me? We met at SxSW when we had dinner with the Freshbooks crew. You had to sit next to my hairy husband :) )

You know I love the Baggu’s. I carry not 1 but 2 in my purse all the time and I am fanatical about using them in places besides the grocery. However I really need something special to carry in my laptop bag for those times when I have to transport some extra goodies. This would be purrrrr-fect!
April 21st, 2009 at 10:18 am
going green has been a challenge for me, i need to store some bags like these in my car so i don’t forget them when i run to the store!

April 21st, 2009 at 4:14 pm

April 21st, 2009 at 4:21 pm

Well, there are so many fourth grade boy jokes going through my mind about sacks. You think, being almost 30, that I would be above that. I blame it on Eric.
April 21st, 2009 at 7:14 pm

Pick me! Pick me!
Having more than one reusable bag reduces the chance of me forgetting to bring a bag to the store. And it is so fashionable compared to my other bags.

Me too!
