I especially liked the Kilim-style rugs... if these gorgeous textiles weren't so cost prohibitive (and the salespeople weren't so incredibly pushy), I would have purchased and shipped one of these beauties back home in a heartbeat. You make an interesting connection to the similarity of the designs between cultures-- I had never noticed that before! When I was in Turkey, rugs like these were EVERYWHERE!
